ACMA Golf Day 2021

We held our 13th Golf Challenge successfully on the 17th of October 2021 in beautiful spring weather.  The first golf challenge was held in 1996.

ACMA has held various sporting functions in the past and golf has always been well supported.  Eighteen golfers participated including two each from our major sponsors Bensons Radiology and Avant. 

We teed off at midday in glorious sunshine.  The challenge was divided into two groups, the ‘hackers’ played for the Callaway trophy while the seasoned golfers played for the ACMA SA Golf Trophy. 

The winner of the former group was Zoe Sing while the ACMA trophy was won by Siaw Lin Liaw.  Among the regular golfers, there were the two perpetual runner-ups who have sadly yet to win a challenge including yours truly. 

Dinner followed on in the evening where the President presented the two winners with their trophies.  Participants, their partners, and two reps from our corporate sponsor, Precision Homes, were present at the dinner.  You can hear of the sad hard-luck golf stories of the near misses and of course their great shots.  It was an enjoyable day for ACMA golfers.  Hopefully, there will be more participants for the next golf challenge.
